Spray bottle of 50% water & 50% Windex, & Exacto Knife
(this is a two-person job)
1. Take existing map board down from the frame and place it on a secure, stable workbench or table that will not scratch or harm your board surface in anyway.
2. Take the old map vinyl off of your board, (except if you are applying PATCHES), and clean the entire surface of the board. If you have difficulty removing old map, clean the surface of the old map and apply the new map over it.
3. Spray the entire area of the surface with 50/50 solution of Windex and water. Make sure the entire area is covered with the solution. This will allow the vinyl to be moved once the backing is off. PLEASE NOTE: If you are applying MAP PATCHES and NOT a whole new map, simply spray the respective area that the patch is to cover. THEN follow steps accordingly.
4. Peel the release paper off the back of the map vinyl or patch, at the same time spraying the exposed adhesive with the solution. This will prevent the vinyl from adhering to itself.
5. Once the backing is off, turn it over and apply it to the map board. The solution will help you slide it into position and smooth it out.
6. Once the map or PATCH is in position, use a squeegee (rubber edge tool), and slowly start compressing the liquid out from under the vinyl. Make sure you pull from the center of the map graphic outward to the outside edge until both sides are firmly applied.
7. Try to get the graphic applied without any bubbles. However, some bubbling may occur so using a pin put a hole in the bubble and press it flat.
8. After a full map graphic is applied, trim any excess vinyl from the edges with an exacto knife.
NOTE: Do not attempt to apply vinyl to any surface that has been or is in direct sunlight for more than 1 hour. The surface will be too hot and will damage the ad. Also, you may want to use painter's tape to secure your vinyl in place while aligning.

2. Clean the entire surface of the existing map-board. Remove the old map graphic if it is pealing.
3. Peal release paper off the applied double-sided stick tape.
4. Make sure new map is square on the board surface and apply. Use good pressure when applying.
5. After the map graphics are applied, put the map-board back in the frame and secure the edges in place with your trim.
